About us: The Goatee Mafia is not a sex club! It is not a club for people who think that it will help them score! It is a group of men that hung out with each other and talked about size acceptance, talked about BBWs and their needs, supported BBWs, and supported their local BBW social scenes. They developed a trust with each other that was something more than just friendship – they shared the same philosophies and enjoyed many of the same things (though not the same politics). They agreed that the stimulus for organizing the Goatee Mafia was to promote BBW and BHM lifestyles. Prior to the 2006 Vegas Bash we were just a group of guys doing our thing. It was there that Kira Nerusskaya of “The BBW World” interviewed us and coined the phrase “The Goatee Mafia.” Whether you believe “FA” means Fat Acceptance, Fat Admirer, or something else is entirely up to you. We believe that the term FA is for fat acceptance and that is how the term is used in our site. We believe that the mainstream media is wrong to promote the positions of the medical companies and the fashion industry without paying head to the majority of Americans who are obese. Yes, that is correct – there are more people who are obese in America than not. We (the obese majority) still provide great services to our country! We are educators, accountants, doctors, nurses, bus drivers, engineers, musicians, programmers, entertainers, and program managers and we work as hard as anyone else in this country. The purpose of GM is neither to preach nor to tell people how to live their lives. It is a site that a group of guys put together to enjoy each other and promote acceptance. Into that formula we mix a healthy dose of frivolity and sexual innuendo because everyone wants to feel desirable and wanted. Please spend a little time with us and get to know us.
